Event Savant is a blog by accomplished event producer Kevin Joseph. Posts here will feature the best & brightest in charity events (and often those behind them) in NYC, and beyond. The most interesting, interested & influential among The Social Set will find great value in it. Occasionally, Kevin will feature events in other markets - events worth traveling to, that is. So, climb aboard our beautiful blimp and enjoy the flight!

III. Methodology and Mission

METHODOLOGY

I'll primarily feature events on this blog that would be of interest and of value to The Social Set™ living in and around New York City and for those who frequent the area. Occasionally, I'll feature an event worth traveling to. Also, I'll be sure to feature all kinds of different events ranging from the most elegant, meaningful or imperative to the silliest, most obscure or the highly unusual. Events should be fun or enlightening or outrageous but rarely can they be all of those things at once and I don't see why anyone who is truly interesting or interested would limit themselves to one or the other. I guess I'd say that I'll feature a mix of events that I would participate in. I hope that you will find that to be interesting and a valuable "resource for discovery" and sharing.

MISSION

Why do I do this?

Well, it's my mission. It is my mission to make a difference in this world. And this is one way in which I know I can accomplish that.

I am an advocate for events. I believe in events as entertainment, for marketing, and for fund raising. And as art. I think of those who produce great events as artists just as I think of filmakers, poets and playwrights as such.

I want to help The Social Set to cut through the noise and find the news, which is getting harder and harder to do.

I have dedicated a large portion of my life, efforts and skill set to serving the many great charities in this world to further their reach and be rewarded for their efforts to raise money for worthy causes. And it is my mission to continue to do so to some significant effect.

It matters to me. I hope you find may some value in what I do. I hope it matters to you.
